Lately, I’ve been complaining how the time of the day is not
enough for me to do the things I want. I want more time, so I can read my books, watch
my favorite TV series and of course, write more blog posts. Sometimes, I blame
the time I spent at work for not being able to do the things I’ve been dying to
do.
One morning however, while browsing on our official (organization)Facebook
page, I saw one status from my boss. He posted his schedule for the day. Man!
His, was a lot hectic than mine. It appears that he doesn’t even have time to
breathe. Yet, he was thankful for the meaningful day and he also thanked
God for the opportunities He has given him to serve.
I felt embarrassed after reading his status. Here I am, being paid to do what I have to do and instead of appreciating it, I complain. Don’t
get me wrong, I still love what I’m doing. I just feel that I have so little “Me
Time” lately.
I think I need to take a page from my boss's handbook and starts appreciating the things that I can do! Sometimes we take what we have and what we can do for granted. And as we continue to do so, we often forget how awful it would be if we don't have those things or if we cant do those things anymore. Being grateful of the things that we have and the things that we can do make us see the positive side of everything, which makes our life easier and worth living.
The "Me Time" can wait. I still have work to do and I'm grateful that I can still do it!
To end this post let me show you a picture of me and my niece, taken when I visited them last weekend, which has nothing to do what so ever with this post. I just feel like posting it and there's nothing you can do because it's my blog. :P
Our baby is now a lady and she's a hundred times prettier than any of us in the family.
That's it. Have a wonderful day dear ones and thanks for being here!

Maybe God led you to the facebook page to realize how blessed you are. I'm grateful and proud of you. Always cling to that positive drive and you will always be happy and fulfilled.
ReplyDeleteGanda ni ish, hahaha.
that's so right. 24 hours a day is never enough especially for people like us with a day job to keep plus so many other interests on the side - editing pictures, downloading songs, watching movies, reading books, and the list goes on. at nanjan pa ang twitter, blog at tumblr. tumbling talaga. but it's just a matter of time management and appreciation of everything we got. kaya natin yan, mayen. hihi. :*
ReplyDeleteGood to see that you're being grateful :)
ReplyDeleteI can actually really relate to this post!
Nice photo of you and your niece, both look super pretty :)
wow good genes :)
ReplyDeleteNaku, sis! I can totally relate to you. I have several ME things that I wanna do din. I want my ME time everyday. Blame it to the LDR experience siguro, ano? Hay. Pero it's a positive thing, sis. Meaning, umaapoy pa yung passion natin for several things. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yung shoutout ng bossing mu reminder lang siguro na we ought to appreciate the things we have. :) But, there's nothing really wrong with wanting to do so much your heart swells all the time. Hihi. Lustful lang talaga tayo for life! :)
Mwah, God bless you more.
Yeah, thanks for reminding me to appreciate the things that I have through your post. Sometimes, we forget to think that while we complain for the things that we have instead of appreciating it, there are other people out there who wish to be in our place.
ReplyDeleteJust breathe, and keep it cool. I believe a good time management will sort your schedule out.
Enjoy! :)
sometimes i felt it too. Being so tired at work and lesser time for my self-centered. I really hate it. That's what i love about you ate - your optimistic trait. It's contagious! Nahahawa din kami. That's the attitude dearest Jane Mayen.hehee I love you. IMY.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Magparamdam kana man. LOL! =)
pretty!=D
That's why I always sleep late, because the hours in the day isn't enough :D
ReplyDeleteKaya nga we should appreciate each day!

We are only humas sis so don't be too hard on your self. We all need some Me time once in a while coz that can recharge us to do our daily tasks. But you're right, we do things because we can and for this we need to be thankful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely post sis. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying work.
Much love xoxo
PS, could you DM me please your postal add, dko na mahalukay sa email ko, thanks.
Tapos at the end of the day pagod na pagod ako pero may dapat pa ako i-accomplish.
ReplyDeleteWow! Super nice post. :) Ako nga eh, nagfile ako ng leave talaga. To stay away from the City and work. :D smile always. :)
