Valentines Day and It's Showtime

How was your Valentines Day? I hope it was a blast. I've been spending Valentines with my family for a couple years now, which means Jed and I haven’t spent Valentines together for two years in a row. I miss him so much. I also miss the bouquet of roses from him every time the “heart’s day” hit the calendar. I missed it so much that I gave him ideas how to send me flowers for Valentines. I told him to conspire with my sisters or brothers-in-law. I’m desperate for flowers that I actually gave him instructions on what he should do. I know that defeats the purpose of romantic gesture but I told you I’m so “makulit” and growing up a brat gives me this attitude that I need to get what I want. But the poor guy told me he gave all his money to me last month. We are saving for the big event, you know. He said I can just withdraw money from our savings and buy myself flowers. We both laugh like crazy after that statement. In the end, I let the thought of bouquet-of-flowers go. Besides, he already bought a new camera for me last month. So I just settled into thinking that it was his advance Valentines gift for me.

Let’s move forward to how I celebrated my Valentines Day. I know it’s a bit late but who cares, it’s still February right? There was nothing romantic related to my VDay but it’s exciting just the same. My sister got an invite to watch It’s Showtime live in the studio- a local variety show. It is one of the most popular shows here in the Philippines and I love the celebrities hosting the show. So when my sister asked me to to come, I said yes. Then I asked a good friend whom I know will enjoy the show. Too bad she cannot come so I asked my best friend since high school and my favorite cousin instead.

The hosts of the show were very friendly and they kept the audience entertained even during commercial gaps. Sometimes, I cannot tell if they were on air or not.  The bad news is we were seated at the left side of the stage. Not a good seat to watch a show because all we see are the backs of the hosts. We came in late, so my sister’s friend cannot find a good seats for us. Everything else was occupied. Good news is we were so close to the stage that we can see the hosts up close during breaks.  Sometimes they even talk to us.

It's Picture Time!

The view from our side of the studio. I told you it sucks.

But then during breaks...
 Anne Curtis dancing.
(this is for you AL)
She's entertaining us during commercial break. A very pretty lady and so nice too.

(this is for you twin sis!)
Karylle wearing her sweet smile. Guys she's prettier in person and her legs are the most beautiful I've ever seen. I have a picture with her but I look ridiculous beside her, so I decided not to show you. For the record, that arm beside Karylle isn't mine.

Billy Crawford
Some of my foreigner readers might recognize him. I remember, I have a huge crush on him during his That's Entertainment days. I still like him though but not as much as I like Coco Martin. (OMG, Mayen, who cares?)

Anyway, I just realized I don't have a decent picture of Vice Ganda. She's so busy. She cannot stay in one place. She's definitely the "main man" or woman of the show.

Finally, the stars of the day!
My sister, my nephew, me and my cousin. My best friend took this shot.

She might feel bad if I don't post a picture of her. So here she is with Karylle..

I have a confession to make. I rarely watch television but when I decided to take a break during noon, I watch the other noon time show because of Pinoy Henyo. I used to watch It's Showtime on their old time slot though. Nonetheless, it still a good show and I think they will get decent numbers of viewers on their new time slot. The rival noon time show is legendary, so they really need to work hard to at least keep up with it.

End of the story..
I'll catch up on your blog soon.. Happy weekend.!
